great article on the state of the industry
Here's a great article in Salon written by Courtney Love. It's about the current practices of the record industry.

What do you think about it?

Yeah dude...Its a bunch of fuckin bullshit! I've had Clint and Cody explain all this to me and it pissed me off then...and it pisses me off now. Money hungry, cell phone carrying, untalented, greased hair, jackass suits running around all over the place. "Oh baby, your my guys...your my guys. I love these guys." Thats what they all say to their bands right! And then when they're not pulling in the cash they used to the two faced bastards turn around and look elsewhere for their temporary work hoarses. Fuck them FUCK THE MUSIC SYSTEM!!!! They can all jump off a goddamn bridge with no fuckin parachute or a damn bungee chord! Fuck em all. Long live SnOoP!!!!!

And here's another one, this time by Steve Albini, along kinda the same lines.

And just one more, this time from Fugazi's Ian MacKaye.

Hey Stu, Cody, Clint - you guys are my boys ! I love you guys! *note what Stu what wrote above*

Also Stu is right on all of it. Esp. long live Snoop.

For those that don't know Steve Albini is a record producer - he produced Nirvana's classic "In Utero", I believe he also did work for the Beastie Boys, Bush and a lot of other acts with "B" in their name.

If they'd like to share I'd like to hear more from the Brothers Phipps about the music industry as they explained it to Greg.
