"The Wall" was one of the first albums I ever owned. I listened to it over and over again, and I loved it when I was a kid. These days the 70s pop psychology of it is a little annoying, but I still like the music.
I really like Roger Waters, so "The Final Cut" is a favorite Pink Floyd album of mine. It's an interesting reminder of how thoroughly nuclear paranoia was part of culture. "Two Suns in the Sunset", indeed.
I haven't been exposed to much Floyd, but I really enjoyed Dark Side of the Moon when Josey made me listen to it over and over again. I also like Foo Fighters version of Have a Cigar, but thats probably just cuz Brian May kicks ass.
my fav albums are darkside, wall, animals, and wish u were here as far as song go uhh breathe time and money well the whole darkside album and goodbye blue sky and comfotably numb, and hey you on the wall and have a cigar on wish and the whole animals album kiks
Great gig in the Sky. Love that song. Echos and Shine on You Crazy Diamond rank right up there too.
Has anyone seen The Dark Side of the Rainbow synchronicity that happens when you synch up Dark Side of the Moon with the movie Wizard of Oz? It's pretty impressive in a cosmic sort of way. For a while they were showing it in movie theaters in Boston, it's that interesting.
Here's a link to how to do it if you want to try this at home. http://www.synchronicityarkive.com/dsotr.php
Song: Any Colour You Like. Album: Animals, hands down. I guess it would be Us and Them/Any Colour You Like, as you cannot have one without the other...but Any Colour really takes me to another place when I hear it.
omg, I love Pink Floyd to death. My favourite songs are "Learning to Fly", "Money" and "Green is the colour", but they are all like.. so great. *squee*
I have most of their albums, and my favourite album is probably Wish you were here, because it has Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Have A Cigar and the title song.. but they are all so great *squee*
the best pink floyd album would have to be the wall. you cant get much better than that its so awsome. my fav song on that album would be one of my turns or hey you!!! i may only be 15 but i grew up to pink floyd and i love it!! :)
