Speaking of sweet guitars... If any of you have ever seen Nirvana Mtv Unplugged, does anyone know what kind of acoustic that Pat Smear is playing?? I've seen it a couple of times, and I want to get one.. I like the tone... It's the one that's red white and blue... I have no idea who makes them though....??? |

There are a lot of great looking guitars out there, but looks aren't everything. Sometimes you can find an old beat used ugly guitar for under 100 dollars that just plain rocks the socks off of new guitars that cost thousands of dollars. I'm not kidding. I once found this used epiphone coronet. It was puke green/brown with a hideous gold fleck in it and a bunch of chips on the front. But it played like a dream. I went back the next day to buy it, and they had already sold it. So remember, sight isn't always the best sense to use in picking out an axe. |

Amen. But I still like to drool over some guitars. But you are right, looks aren't everything. :-) |

I picked up a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard in excellent condition last week... Sometimes the thousand dollar guitars are worth the thousand dollars. |

Josey, what do I have to do for you to get that guitar? |

Well, first of all, you have to buy me an original Gibson 57 Les Paul Custom (NO REISSUES!!!) or maybe a Gretsch White Falcon... And then of course, you'd probably have to kill me. That guitar is like my first born child. |

The red, white & blue acoustic is a Buck Owens model (read somewhere it's a Harmony, though Buck's original was a Mosrite) that was Kris'. |

I just bought a Washburn Acoustic Electric Super Jumbo Cumberland.
I spent 3 days looking, played over 30 guitars of different varieties and brands, and this was the best one out there. A beautiful guitar with great sound. It won at least 2 awards, one from acoustic guitar magazine and one from music & sound magazine.
Here is a link to the guitar:

This doesnt have anything to do with guitars, but I've been trying to post a message here for the past couple days and havent been able to. My name is Lisa and I'm friends with Devin who grew up in the Machias area and who wanted me to try and get in contact with either Clint or Cody. If either or both of you want to email me @ wicked_girl_lisa@yahoo.com I would be happy to let you know his phone number. He's been living in the Portland area and wanted to touch base with you =) Thanks |
